RE: Myrtle Beach in October

The blue reef or blue coral in south myrtle beach is nice. Its the hotel that turns blue at night due to the lighting. Also easy to get in and out because hy.17 is about 2 blocks away.

RE: Edisto Island SP

Yes we have.Fairly nice sites but some are a little tight.Don't stay in the overflow area, which is inland about 1/2 mile.

RE: Secluded Valley NC on 19E Don't go.

I emailed them to Terry. That would really make me mad if I drove there expecting to get a certain site and then they changed it.Thanks for the infro.

RE: Great Dodge buying experience (a bit long)

Congrats on your new T/V.When we purchased ours last year we shopped around for over 4 months and walked away from quite a few dealerships. When I make a offer while out on the lot I don't want it changed when we set down to do the paperwork,Which happened quite a few times. With the tools of the internet noone should be blind sided these days.

RE: Barker Tote along Black/Grey water

I have a Thetford and like Keith99RS said, why not dump the black tank if need be in these portable tanks?I have for several years and never had any problems dumping it or keeping it clean. Its no more nasty than dumping at the dump station.

RE: how many of you camp with children

For the most part its me and the wife. But if we go too the beach or if its a holiday we take the grandson and granddaughter which are 2 and 6 yrs old.And occasionally the daughter or son comes along.

RE: Colorado hiking during hunting season

You folks are worrying a little too much. You chances are well over 80% of being hit by a drunk driver while driving down the road than being shot by a hunter. If your worried then like stated, don't walk early in the morning and late in the evening. And as far as what NGRRFan said I don't buy someone being shot as a accident. Its called carelessness and stupidy.

RE: What Are You Doing in My Campsite? - Long Post

Our favorite C/G in the mountains has a stream that runs along one side of the C/G,and the sites along this stream are @ a premium price. We usually get one of these sites and I back my TT as close to the stream as I can get to try and discourage folks from walking thru my campsite. You can wade across the stream or go up to the bridge and cross and walk along the other side where there isn't and campsites but folks will still walk thru your campsite.I guess the way I look @ it is if the folks want to be beside the stream then cough up the extra cash and get a site along the stream instead of making yourselfs @ home on other folks campsites.

RE: Sites in Huntington Beach State Park

Pull up the map of the C/G and try and get the sites @ the end of the back loop before you come back into the first loop.Should be about 4-5 sites below the bath house. You will get more of a breeze from these sites than the others on the back loop.

RE: Had a great time at Hunting Island! *pics*

Thanks for sharing pics.Hunting Island is a very pretty C/G.But I sure wouldn't feed them deer like that in say oct. and nov.It could be very dangerous. Also try Huntington beach C/G.Its a cool C/G too.Happy camping

RE: 08 Dodge 2500 Cummins Recent Buying Experiences?

Sounds like a fair deal.I paid 28K for my 06 last year with 7000 miles on it.But it wasn't a 4x4.

RE: What’s with the smudge pots? (Rant)

I wouldn't have to let my fire smoulder all day if the C/G would do something about them dang skeeters and flys.LOL!We never leave our windows open due to we don't want our TT smelling like smoke.Wish I could open up the windows sometimes and let natural sounds in.Oh well...

RE: Clean Camper

I'm lucky. We have our TT parked @ our house.I clean the awning and the outside of the TT about 2 days before we leave on a trip. And we clean the inside everytime we get back from a trip.Ofcourse this method works for us.And I always try and keep my campsite clean. The DW says she doesn't understand why I wash and clean the TT and TV just before we go,because its only going to get dirty going down the road.Guess its a man thing.

RE: Have you done this?

Yep;Left some ice cream in the freezer.Found them when we got home so it wasn't really bad.I now leave the gas on while traveling.

RE: V10 Excursion first trip results and MPG

Hey Chad.I towed basically the same TT with a 02 Ex before we bought our current T/V.I couldn't have asked for a better setup. We only purchased the CTD to hopefully upgrade to a 5th wheel one day.We towed up several 6,7,and 8 percent grades with it and it would wind up the RPM's but never miss a beat.Hope you enjoy your Ex.

RE: Camping trip from Hades

Wow!What a trip.We just got back from one of the best trips ever to the smokey mountains. But it was short lived when we arrived home.My son called us too let us know that his wife has left him and took the grandkids. What a way to ruin a good vacation huh?
